I am looking to book a holiday for me and some friends for the week 12th-20th ish December , in La Plagne (Plagne Soleil to be exact).
Does anyone know what is the snow conditions by then? Good to snowboard??

Any tips will be appreciated!

Hiya

It's always hit and miss at that time of year, but la Plagne is pretty high so it could be just fantastic - loads of powder and no one around!

Worst case scenario - you have got Tignes glacier just an hour and a bit down the valley so maybe don't buy passes online. Wait till you get there and decide then

Have fun!

oops, must have set my profile incorrectly, didnt get a notification about a reply!

Thanks KtdSki! I have been looked around for the snow history for La Plagne, but seeing it isnt looking too bad at the moment (well Val d'Isere is doing not bad?)

Booked the holiday for 13th- 20th Dec!! (at plagne soleil)
The accommodation I was gonna go for is sold out! So I presume there are many people going?!?! So now, I have booked the Sun Valley apartment - anyone been there? good? alright? bad?!

There is another 2 months to go, so hopefully the snow in La plagne wont be too bad this dec? :s hmm...

Iv been there at la plagne last 2 years and the snow has been fantastic at that time so you should have nothing to be worried about, 2 years ago they had the best fall of snow for about 6 years! Its high up so you should be ok. You will have lots of fun I think I will try somewhere different this year any suggestions?

I was ther last December 11th and am there again this December 11th staying in 1800. Conditions were good about 50% of lifts & pistes open start of week and more opening by the day. Still too much to ski in a week. Was very cold. -10 to -25. No snowpark though if thats your thing. No skiing below 1500m unless you want ur base scuffed.

According to the Les Arcs thread, there is no snow to speak of at the moment, so you'd better start performing a hell of a snowdance now!

I would be a little concerned, i have been watching the cams as we are off to Belle in early Jan......I cant imagine the nail biting if it were early Dec.
