Well, circumstances have meant I am coming to Neiderau, and I look forward to seeing what its all about, as so many people rave about the place. Its incredible how many people on one forum have such an affinity with one place, and especially as (with the greatest respect) its not a particularly big or well known resort. I guess that means it has a magic of its own, and I look forward to finding it.
I only have 4 days skiing, so I imagine I will have a day over at Mayrhofen (seeing as I have a car) and may even possibly look at going over to Kitzhuhel for a day as well.
According to WTSS, they skied Niederau in "a couple of hours" although as the legend that is Mr Mac says, you always find a new way of skiing a slope: I know exactly what he means.
If I have any money left by then, I will most certainly be getting my fellow J2skiers a drink, starting with Jan and closely followed by Dave Mac.
I look forward to meeting everyone who knows me from here, and to discovering the N Magic.

Now, whats all this about dancing on tables and playing harps??????

Well, things have changed, as you know Jan, and my plans have had to change too, and without going into detail, I will now be in Niederau from 26th to 31st December. Sadly that means I won't be able to see the new year in with everyone else there, but it does mean I can get away after all after my recent bad news, for which I am eternally grateful to those who have helped make this possible, and I would be delighted to have a beer with any of the regular N gang from this website who might be there at that time.

So, who's going to do an updated roll call, with dates of when people are going to be around?

Good on you Tony-H I am sure you will be converted to the N gang. Which holiday are you replacing it with, hope its not your Serre Che one, cos I know you were looking forward to that.

Dave Mac: I recall being allowed to throw plates around the room one evening many years ago at the Bichlwirt when a Herbert evening turned into a ''greek'' evening. Oooh, I remember: it was the 1990/91 season. Anyone remember the Croatian ski instructor, Alen Greblo? He started it! And I DO have the photos of that evening! I wdn't get away with that now: Gill would chase me out of town!

Yes, we're staying at the Staffler.
Anyone planning on going to the Bauernkeller one night for ribs and potatoes?!!!!!!!!!! (and the GORGEOUS Krautinger: Cabbage schnapps, yum! Okay, so I won't be snogging anyone that night!!!).

Sozz, Dave, you can't stop us Welshies: if Blodyn and I are not allowed to dance ''ar y bwrdd'', then we'll end up singing in God's language: you choose! Blodyn's an Alto and I'm, well, I'm a good tryer!
FAB WIN FOR THE WELSH TEAM TODAY, EH! (snigger!)

We stayed in Hinterglemm Austria last year and found the service in all the bars very good and friendly. The locals were all friendly and helpful. I think that newbie just had a bad one off experience. Try Austria again.

Couldnt agree more. I have always found Austria to be a friendly and welcoming place, and so pretty too. I can only suggest Newbie makes a return and reassesses.

It's great that you are getting to Niederau Tony.

As I see it, you are the legend, you have been voted dryest J2ski sense of humour, with RossF winner of the yound skiers section

Jan, winner of the gassthausmann of the year, and also webcam man of the year.

Idavies, blodwyn, caron-a, joint lap dancers of the year. Oh, sorry that should be table dancers
