Paralytic
We had just found out that the Alp had just changed hands so will post report whe we get back. It seemsyou know the village well so a bit of local advice on whereto rent skis from would be appreciated. We have our own boots and are probably high intermediate level and usually rent the better skis in resorts we go to.
Crystal use ski set and i have spoken to them on the phone and communication due to me not speaking any french was difficult plus they are at the opposite end of the village to the hotel.
2 aternatives are twinner and Jean sports which are both a stones throw from the hotel. Have also spoken to both and twinner seemed much more helpful and also had the skis that i was interested inusing. If you have any experience of the ski hire shops it would be appreciated.
thanks
paul

We have used them all and Twinner are good but really the best ones in the Village are Sport 1500 in the main Village drag on the way up to your accommadation - they are really helpful and very knowledgeable. Jean Sports you can get a discount with in advance through Snow Rental and save about 20% but they as a result go for volume and not necesarily quality- perhaps on balance go with Twinner as they are just next door to the Hotel and they have the skis you want....
