Ally this resort is Mont-Sainte-Anne in Quebec, Canada.
I spent the season out there last year, four weeks skiing there in Jan and I'm going back for 12 days now. Needless to say I love it!
This time when I go out I will actually divide my time between Mont-Sainte-Anne (MSA),
Le Massif and
Le Relais.
MSA is a great mountain. The stats for the mountain are:
Altitude at the summit:800 meters (2 625 feet)
Number of trails: 66 covering 69 km (42 miles), on 3 different sides
Night skiing 17 trails covering 15 km (9 miles)on the highest vertical for night skiing in Canada
Trail Breakdown: Easy (green): 23% Difficult (blue): 45% More difficult (black): 18% Extreme (double black): 14%
This is a mountain, in my opinion, that can challenge anyone and everyone regardless of ability! Tremblant is the more well known mountain in Quebec Province however I am led to believe that the variety and difficulty of skiing does not compare to MSA, that said I have never skied at Tremblant. MSA is also known to hold Womens World Cup races amongst other races.
MSA is only 30 minutes outside of Quebec city which is a truly beautiful city. Actually in the local area of the mountain it is only small with limited restaurants etc however there are loads of activities to do like snow-shoeing, dog sledding, cross country skiing and snow mobile paths.
As well as MSA there are various other mountains around and about including Le Massif which is a must if in the area as you ski down to the bottom of the St Lawrence river an the views are amazing. I can't find my photos from when I have skied there but if I find them I'll post them as it is a seriously amazing view! Le Massif also always get a serious amount of snow every year due to its location and its a powder skiers dream! They actually have a mens world cup hill but unfortunately its rarely open from the top although you can join it part way down...
Anyway enough wiffle from me on the subject of Quebec its just hard for me to stop as I love it and am seriously considering a move out there permanently
