Depends on the skier, I've known a few to progress so quickly they're skiing difficult blacks on their second week. Also some still struggling on reds in their 10th week. Time on snow doesn't always give a good indication of skill.

Seriously good run, do it early on in the day around 11am when the sun is on it & you will catch the slope in pretty good condition & quiet with regards to other slope users. Avoid doing it as the last run of the day back to resort, if your still an early intermediate, as late on in the day it can become a bit hectic with some really good french skiers basically bombing it.

Looks wide enough to be able to cope with, but its hard to tell the pitch in photos. I have skied really tough runs and routes and took photos which make them look easy!
I understand a lot of people fall here and get barracked from the bar as they slide past on their backsides!!!!

It is steep in parts and it does get bumpy. Fallers do tend to slide a long way!

Exactly, videos and photos don't do runs justice which is why I said it LOOKS like a cruisy blue in the video. I've seen La Face from above so have a pretty good idea what its like, wide is better than narrow on a black, hate moguls and ice, if the conditions are good I'll give it a bash.

Thanks for the advice.

What about the Coupe de Monde run which I believe is red?

If you mean the OK run at La Daille, then it's a really enjoyable piste. Yes, it's a red, it's a very varied route, and there is a restaurant half way down (off to one side). As it's an ordinary piste without the cachet of La Face, it tends to have less hotheads straightlining

I was lucky to be at the top one day when it was opened up after an international race, it was so smooth, it was amazing...and really easy to get a move on 8)

Not sure I'd agree with that, as it's the Mens World Cup Downhill run it attracts plenty of speed freaks.
