I have had some brilliant days up on Scottish ski hills :D

Plus some with the weather characteristics mentioned earlier in the thread.

Tony, folks who learn to ski in Scotland, tend to be able to ski anything. It's never too icy, too windy, too foggy.....

You get the idea )

I might cancel Saalbach and head home for a week on the 12th.

i had a day at glenshee 2 seasons ago where it was a bit windy but essentially was blue skies and fresh crisp snow-I hadnt been skiing in scotland (despite living in Glasgow) for over 10yrs and I didnt realise how damn lucky that one day was as last year was NOT as nice.......

Yup, I went to Glenshee in January 08 on a glorious day. Also had a great day at Cairngorm in May 2008 - we were skiing in t shirts and I've not yet managed that in Europe. When Scotland produces days like that you'll pretty much forgive it *anything*...

I skied maybe 15 days in Scotland last year (possibly more, not really sure), and most of them were 'nice'. I don't remember a day that I wasn't happy to be out in the mountains, had a day at Glenshee that was dark and snowing but it just meant fresh snow :D
