I like the sound of the free skier & snowboarder magazine Tony was talking about, will keep an eye out for that one & Fall Line magazine as recommended by Bandit.
If I was a reporter looking for skiing related material to fill the pages of a magazine J2ski would be my first port of call.

I used to be a regular reader and had a subscription with the DMSS mag, but TBO I came a bit disillusioned with it as it was much of the same every year, so now I don't bother and If I feel the need
I search the web 8)

I sometimes get fall line magazine but I have been known to pick up Whitelines.

I know it's a snowboard mag but I really enjoy the photos and the articles are well writen.

Last month they did a 4 page story of your average seasoned snowboarder from the UK. They guy was in his early 30s and decided to give up his steady job in London to do a full season in France.
He worked 10-14 hour shifts in a chalet and during days off, boarded in his spare time.
It wasn't a glamorous ending returning home in spring this year to now living with his mum and having no job.

Really good read.

Big fan of Fall Line Skiing. Love the photography and the vibe.

DM just seem to re-issue the same old rubbish year in year out.

Interesting thread. I started a small digital ski mag for the iPad last september and have tried to get away from that old model. Pros and Ads. Instead finding stories from everyday people who go play in the mountains.

It just seemed natural because of the amount of people who are documenting their trips into the montains. Some great stories that better relate to the everyday skier.
