Well, I will be ski-ing down to 1550 to make myself a cup of tea in our apartment. Hopefully milk will not be over £100 per bottle, or I will have to bring dried milk with me, as well as decaffeinated tea bags.

Sounds very sensible to me ....given that the French seem to think that if not enough people buy they will put up the prices to keep the profits up!

I have always been very careful with money (partly because I never used to have any). My husband's family were totally disgusted when I clothed our kids with stuff from the local charity shops when they were small - too small to complain about it :lol:. So refusing to pay inflated prices in cafes in Courchevel will be nothing new.
