It has not been losing money at all, just looking for someone to invest and take it forward. Too many people care to let Glencoe go.
The fact it is on one of the busiest roads up North and is the closest ski hill to most of the population (think Glasgow) means it could potentially be a very profitable all year round business.
They have started constructing a bike track already and ideally a multi stage lift would be constructed from the base to provide better all year round access and walking trails up top.
The views from the top are breathtaking.

It is that long range vision in the past they have done things like only opening from Thursday to Sunday, potentially it could be a good investment, but it is whether some of the people involved with Glencoe actually want it to succeed.
Potential is there all we now need is the cash

When Glenshee bought them everything very nearly went t1ts up. In fact it did. Only opening for the weekends was probably the only thing that kept Glencoe ticking over but then again I don't profess to know the ins and outs of it.
If there were bunks or overnight accommodation at the base I would happily stay overnight to save me driving home and a bar to keep me up for a wee while
