Something as addictive as bubblewrap should be banned. It is the blight of many an urban area.

A more robust and reusable alternative is old carrymat - sleeping pad foam. A place to look for sheet foam offcuts is a flooring shop. Some types of hardwood/plank floors use great foam underneath.

For snowboards with the binding removed, a cardboard sleeve with the ends double wrapped (in cardboard) works very well.

I have a 'tube' made from an old duvet.

Cut it in to about half - long ways, so you have a duvet about 6ft by 3ft. Fold it over, so it's now 6ft by 18ins. Sew up the long side and one of the short ends. Job done.

With just one end open, I can slide it over my skis and then into my ski bag.

Works a treat.

Thanks MUM for making it.
You'll never know, unless you try...
