A combination of searching TK Maxx stores across the UK, buying online from the US, and the ski shop at an outdoor slope locally to me.

I refuse to pay full whack for North Face, Arc'Teryx, etc etc in this country at places like Ellis Brigham and Snow & Rock.

A great little shop on willow farm in St Albans. Loads of stuff all crammed together and then some e+o and spyder stuff all spaced out nicely for those so inclined...

The e+o stuff is quite nice isnt it?
I am also liking the Kjus range, but not their prices.

Kjus is top notch, but outrageously expensive - I don't care how often you ski, £800 for a jacket is ridiculous.(Some are less of course.)

Phenix (not Phoenix) is my personal fave though, but its very expensive also.


Tino - is this all a bit too "Trinny and Susannah" for you mate??

Snow and Rock, Port Solent. Then there's always ebay.
It's only a slope.

The problem Ive got is Ive ripped my gear and need to get some new stuff for the beginning of Jan. Went to TK max Preston and it ws like a jumble sale. Try Manchester next me thinks after Chrimbo and hope some places drop there prices.

eBay in the US is of course a great bet, and the REI Outlet site (got a killer deal on a Karbon jacket there last year), but another one often missed is www.SteepandCheap.com as a part of Backcountry's liquidation. Be patient and the right deal will come your way...
