I do know of him, he's the Scotish lad who won his first wheelchair tournament six weeks after losing the use of his legs. He is a remarkable young man. My son reckons wheelchair tennis is really difficult, often more tiring than normal tennis.

I saw disabled skier's on a trip to Andorra many moons ago, I was so amazed that I could not help but follow the blind skiers down the slope. I have never forgot the experience and yes I did struggle to keep up.

Was watching a one legged skier on the Tux a couple of weeks ago, whilst I was busy being kanackered at the restaurant having a Gluhwein.

This guy had what looked like a proffesional photographer with him and thez were setting up shots all the way down the run. He was bloody amazing!!!

The National Council for the Blind in Ireland organise an annual ski trip for visually impaired people. I haven't been on the trip but it sounds inspiring and great fund. Follow this link to a newspaper article about it:

It is humbling what some people achieve in the face of adversity and, I suppose, we should remember this when bitching about snow conditions, transfer times, etc
