yeah its nearer vancouver then seattle actually, about 2/3 of the way from Seattle to Vancouver

Yeah my bad, Bennyboy is right. It is 2 and a half hours from Seattle to Baker and from there it's 2 hours to Vancouver.

When are you coming through? The season doesn't usually start until late November or December.
If there is no skiing in Heaven, I am staying here....

I would ski Crystal Moutain, Alpental and or Mt Baker. Crystal has the most terrain and gets great snow. Alpental is a steep and backcountry type experience. Mt Baker has incredible scenery, big snow but does not have amount of terrain like Crystal. All have interesting weather like Whistler- can have lots of clouds,fog and rain. Would suggest you try Fernie, BC has has the combination of all of them without the same weather as Whistler- and lot less money

He certainly died in Seattle, not sure if he was born there though.
