Something of an exaggeration, the actual incidence is around 2200 MDBI and has been falling for some time.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the likelihood was far higher in female beginners, something to do with a natural reaction to twist the upper body when falling rather than going with the fall if you see what I mean. Does anyone know if there's any data to support this :?:
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

Not beginners but women generally, I've not seen any suggestion it's caused by that, I thought the thinking was differences in the joint make up specifically a narrower intercondylar area were the root of the difference.

I just had to add this. Back on 07; I skiied for the very first time and blew out my knee. I had all different kinds of diagnoses. MCL, TCL, strains, tears, a medial meniscus tear etc etc. The works, I went in today and was supposed to get my meniscus fixed and I had a pesky piece of bone that was getting caught floating around in my joint. OMG after the surg my knee hurts so incredibility bad. I hope I can get back to skiing soon. Maybe while I'm at work i can persuade my patrollers to ride down on a sled.

Ise yes there is research about chicks having more knee injuries then dudes. I for one second that. So dose my orthosurg.
Uh oh, I think I broke'd the lift

Lol I went back out skiing today. My knee got fixed on the 23rd of Dec.

After I had some drugs with a side of schnapps I was walking around the night I had it done. I attacked my bike the next day. 5 days after that I was back at my job (on restricted duties) working at my ski resort, and now I'm skiing. Hopefully I can start running on it again soon. Just wish the pesky drill holes would go away.
