He's jealous. Get him on here, and he can join in )

I mean it's not like you're having an affair is it!

I've told my beloved about this thread and (thanks to bandit's comment) he's going to join!

Being that he's more obsessed with fantasy football than skiing it could be amusing!

I was dreaming of the past.
And my heart was beating fast,
I began to lose control,
I began to lose control,

I didn't mean to hurt you,
I'm sorry that I made you cry,
I didn't want to hurt you,
I'm just a jealous guy,

Great new game thanks to Caron-a's comments (and her beloved's interests). All the world will be playing it and if we can get our act together the 2014 winter olympics may include it as a demo sport!!!

What is it ??? Downhill Football :!:

Rules are still to be laid out but it goes like this in principle.

Two teams of 4 players each start at the top of a ski slope. One defensive team and one offensive. Teams take turns being offensive of defensive. At least 3 trips down the slope in each position - offense and defense. The goal is to cross the line at the bottom of the hill in the cumulative shortest time. What makes it tough is that at least 4 passes of a football must be completed for each teams offensive run down the hill. All the while the defensive team is doing all they can do to prolong the offensive teams' decent. Call it Roller Derby on skis while passing a football. If 4 passes are not completed then points will be awarded to the defensive team on a system to be determined. The downhill course may even have a few jumps - just to make it interesting as the offensive team could earn points for style as well.

Take a look at this clip from Quebec City in Canada for a similar sport on skates. And imaging how it would be more intense if a football were included. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=eae_1187536658

Makes skiing the escalators in London seem not so challenging :!:

Enjoy the clip ... not for the weak of heart  It does enhance the charm of Quebec City :D

The original "Crazy Cunucks" was a ski team that did great things; but the term may have to include some others as well.

Mike
Age is but a number.

davidmpires wrote:Hi Caron, I can relate to you in that issue, I play bass in some bands and spend some time learning songs, gigging and practicing, I also post alot on a bass players forum, and we also have meetings to get to know everyone. My other half thinks I spend too much time with bass and music in general.

I've tried to explain to her that music is what keeps me from killing someone after a 9-5 job, and it helps me to stay way from drugs .
In all seriousness, try to explain how it makes you feel when you have some minutes on your own just posting and reading about your favourite sport. And how important it is to your life. As long as you don't disreguard all the other things in life and are able to keep a healthy balance, I think your best half should understand.

Ok enough rambling, just take him with you skiing of piste and leave him there.... :D

Dave is that an Ibanez or a Schetcher? If my german eye be deceiving me. It looks like either a SR Solid ash body. Or a Schetcher 004 series Ash? Is she a 4 or a 5? What kind of pickups does she have? Despite the model she is very nice

Getting back on track.
If they love you. they will understand. We have a very loving happy family on here

I think your husband skis, doesnt he Caron? If so, he surely likes to talk about his experiences and adventures? I bet he does in the bar after a day on the slopes......get him on here, and he will start to understand what makes it so addictive.
