Mr H, the reason why I asked what level of skier was accommodated for was to check to see if it was worth it or not.
No pointing booking things without making sure you will achieve want you want.

Absolutely old mucker. Its a cheap break for sure, but if I were you, I would make sure you can get some instruction before you book. Otherwise, you might end up "doing a Sauze" and sitting in a bar 24/7, which you can do in Birmingham for much less money I would wager )Stewart Dowling wrote:

However, all of the resorts (except Tignes) I am looking at I am making sure they have lots of beginner slopes so that Zowie can have a few private lessons at the beginning of the week, get her confidence going and then we can ski down the easy slopes together.
Hopefully then we can build up our skiing capabilities much quicker this year and see where it takes us.
Probably to A&E but who knows.

Being a regular skier myself, I can say that Sauze was not the ideal choice to learn to ski but at least your trying to have another go at it which is good.
Maybe if Tony goes with you this time he can show more support that what he does in this forum assuming that he was in Sauze with you judging by beer comments.
However Stewart, you are right to look at resorts with many green and blue runs as this is the best way to learn and although I would always recommend Ski Schools, it is not for some people and two hours in a private lesson can often be more beneficial.

Yeah Sauze was difficult to learn especially for Zowie but she got more confident by the end of the week which is why we are going again.
Hopefully before and after Christmas.
Tony is super bloke and is only having a joke.
He showed me quite a bit in Sauze, but the first few trips are to get Zowie up and skiing but I am sure after this year we will be.

If you're looking to improve your skiing by simply pounding the same straight, wide and easy blue run for a few days then you the Grande Motte Glacier might be just for you (a bit like on a dryslope but with snow!). I know sometimes the fear of an unknown slope can have it's own effects so three days skiing on the same slope may be what you and your partner need to get your mojo on.
Just a thought.

that's right, the even consistent gradient makes developing and consolidating technique more simple, longer than an indoor slope and better views :D
