I paid 170€ with a cyber Monday deal. They were 229€ before the discount. The bonus is you get 2 lenses and it is pretty easy to change but it does take a bit of practise to get it. My previous goggles were Oakley flight decks (not prisms) but due to some bad grooming and a hidden hole I smashed them and a helmet and had a bad concussion. Hence my need for new goggles. I never thought I would stray from Oakley. I have even ordered some Smith chromapop sunglasses I love these lenses so much.

I know your problem with wearing contacts or glasses underneath the goggles. Contacts always make trouble from sweat running in the eyes and normal glasses barely fit in there. What works for me is a combination of pretty small prescription glasses and pretty big goggles. You might want to check out the ones Scott Hustle Series [link removed], they are at least big enough for my purposes and not too expensive :)

Sounds like no fun at all - hope all is ok now? (helmets and goggles can be replaced but the squidgy bit inside....)

Will report back on the Oakleys as I've decided to give them a run next month

All good with the squidgy bit. Just a major headache for a couple of days. Luckily it was the last day near the end of the day. My old pair were Oakley flight deck and I loved them. They saved my face You won't be disappointed with them.

I have the Oakley Crowbar goggles with Fire Iridium polarised lens and Persimmon polarised lens for dull days. Whilst they are good, I don't find them as good as I had hoped. Another observation is they let a lot of wind in the top if you ski fast making your eyes stream. I would potentially look for my next helmet to have a peak to minimise the eye streaming.

I hope this helps

Thanks Agysler - will bear that in mind though my lid has a brim so may well negate that

Also the fact that I don't ski fast (unless unwittingly) should be ok :-)

No problem. Definitely choose goggles that have interchangeable lenses and get a very low light lens as well as a sunny day lens.
