Alpe d'Huez has a fully equipped camp site in resort.

We stayed at Champs du Moulins in the valley below. It is a caravan neige campsite so full y equipped with hook up, boot / locker room, washing facilities, showers etc. I would recommend it.

I don't think conditions anywhere in the Alps will be good after mid April this year. Snow cover is relatively sparse and now that the ground is warming up, lower slopes will suffer everywhere. LDA goes high and has the Glacier, but skiing will be limited.... Unless there's a cold spell and a lot more snow.

Lynthip, there is a running snow report on LDA on Snowheads, as well as a running report from Claude or Colin who is spending a few weeks in LDA.

We are at the camp site now. Monday was not great, glacier closed due to high winds and several pistes also but since Tuesday it has been fab. Much better snow than last year and the weather has been beautiful. Staying an extra day due to great conditions.
