Not at all... forecasting snow is a mug's game with current technology but the short-term forecasts are generally better than they were a few years ago, and improving. We just need to manage expectations is all...
...but it has most certainly snowed today, and that's what counts. 8)

Well I stand corrected. The Zermatt webcams are showing quite a bit of snow in the town (which I think is around 1,600m). It's bound to melt but hopefully the stuff higher up will start to build up.

The VDI webcams show a smattering at village level but the top of the Bellevarde looks ready to rock!
Considering that was green/brown at the start of the week when I looked then I think its a good start to the season
