Snow chains

General rule here to be adhered to; fit winter tyres and don't consider going without them.
And buy a cheap set of chains from a supermarket in France which you can carry in the relatively unlikely event that you hit severe conditions where they indicate chains are obligatory.

Well I have just ordered my Winter Tyres and I asked the well known Tyre Replacement Company that sounds like a Bank Machine if my wheels are suitable for Snow Chains.
There advice was never use Snow Chains due to the risk of damage to other parts of the vehicle.
