No Ive not been before. I chose it because firstly its not too far from Geneva and secondly, I think it offers us the mainly beginners slopes that we need. My Wife hasn't skied before and I havent been for a long time. Thirdly, It appears its not so busy which is another appealing characteristic.

What about you I take it youve been before?

I have skied Le Grand bornand before about seven times in all so like the Aravis area, in all that time I have never skied La Clusaz so instead of staying there we thought we would stay somewhere a little smaller where not too many brits go.
So if we ski the La Clusaz area out we pop off to LGb for an afternoon, we do get limited skiing while my daughter is in ski school with taking her and collecting her but after lunch is pretty much free time although she will have a slalom race on the friday as part of her level Gold, so I think there will be some slalom practice in the afternoons, " She has to do a Giant Slalom in 40 seconds for half of the gold and the other half is graded on her technical ability".
Stuck to France for a good few years to allow continuity for her skiing so it will nice perhaps in 2014 to take her further afield. I'll write a report on my return to give you a bit of a heads up.

Sounds good I would appreciate any information you could give me. When is it you are going? The weather forecast for the week ahead looks good another 47cm of the white gold is coming.

Plenty of snow falling ..... we are off to Merdassier on the 12/01/13.

In which case I will give you a heads up as were off on the 30th December. The long range forecast is pretty good lots of snow in it and having looked at the web cams for the same period over the last few years should be good snow pretty much guaranteed.

You too Ian, I will let you know how it goes if I ever get my Ski Pass. I ordered it in October and they still havent sent it yet. Ive emailed them and they said there was a problem with the online ordering system and Ive just emailed them again saying were getting a bit close especially how busy the mail is due to Christmas.
