brooksy,
Skill,,,,,, you must be one of the rare birds.
Tools,,,,imagine they now use a laser guided saw to do work on knee

Materials,,,,,$5,000 US dollars for a titanium knee unit.

Stanby,,,,many skiers waiting!

Now if you want picture,,,,,to make you reconsider will send you one close up!

White lithuim grease,,,,well there is coming a "therapy" in which your own stem cells are injected to rebuild those ligaments. Nano-surgery of the 2020.

I think roof box is the way to go. There are also cheaper roof ski racks, but the amount of crap that sticks to skis is unbelievable, dead flies, birds' poo, road dust, grease, everything. OK to use it once if you need to, but that's about it. Roof boxes are more versatile and can be used to carry other stuff too.

Deffo roofbox.
Asked this advice last season and we managed to borrow one which saved costs.
We fitted 6 pairs of skis in on the way home, plus poles and other stuff like towels round sides.

A sound bit of advice I was given (and this did result in us having to borrowa smaller one) is to watch the height as on the tunnel there is a restriction.
You can hire themif don't want to buy.

Just read a thread on TGR on stem cell injections. Sounds like there will be a way soon for people to extend there skiing careers indefinitely

That is comforting, I had planned to emulate some of the 100 year old+ skiers, but indefinitely sounds infinitely more attractive......
