Please do not feel I am saying one is better than the other. Each has it "pleasures". You just have to know what you want in skiing.
I go to ski,,,period. Thus my very first parameter to consider is ski variability, conditions and challenge. I do not care for; parties, socials at bar, shopping, slides, dog sledding, high wire slides etc,,, I can do all those at home.
Look up Panorama, Big White, Fernie, at others in that area. Great skiing.
That is just my opinion.

Open ski areas reported by 9 Canadian Ski Resorts, including Banff Mount Norquay, Big White, Grouse Mountain, Lake Louise, Marmot Basin, Mont Saint-Sauveur, Sunshine Village-Banff and Whistler Blackcomb.
