Any suggestions?

Dolomites somewhere, or have a look at Grimentz in the Val d'Annivers. Verbier also worth a shout. St Anton?

Thanks tony, verbier is on my list and I've already considered it. St Anton is also on the list but price puts me off a little. Any specific resorts in the Dolomites?

Thanks

Verbs is great, I loved it there. Not cheap eating and drinking but chalet board is the answer there.
St Anton also is no more expensive. Plenty of chalets and you dont NEED to spend a lot there. I didnt find it as expensive as people seemed to suggest it would be, although its more pricey than a lot of other Austrian resorts. BUT its the real deal: lovely resort, lots going on, fantastic skiing, good extent. You can't got far wrong with it.
Not been to the Dolomites myself, but the places I keep looking at are:
Selva
Arabba
Canazei
Ortisei
La Villa
Corvara

You'll find something in that lot.

Most defiantly, plenty to go at there, thanks. Let the search begin. :D

I too have looked and looked at The Dolomites but something keeps putting me off, don't ask me what because i don't know. But the Stella Ronda does look like lovely skiing.

I am right in the middle of choosing a resort for new year and i really wanted to go Austria but the convenience of the Ski in Ski out french resorts keep pulling me back.
My criteria are

Ski in Ski out
Big area
Lots of easy greens and blues for the family
Snow sure.

The third option is important to me but it does mess with my real desires of tons of stiff reds for me easy off piste. Right now i am looking at the likes of Valmorel, Montgenevre and possibly Courchevel. But the biggest factor is going to be the altitude being relatively early season.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

Snapzzz,
If you're thinking about Courchevel then look at 1550 - it's much cheaper than 1850 and it only takes a few minutes to ski down or gondola up to 1850 AND the gondola keeps going until late at night.

1650 would probably suit your daughter as it has really lovely easy runs and it's much quieter, but it's a pain to get to the rest of the 3 Valleys from there unless you take the bus to 1850 or maybe to 1550 (only 5 minutes) and then the gondola up to 1850.

1850 prices are totally ridiculous.

Here's the report I wrote on it a couple of years ago:

Having had such an enjoyable time in Espace Killy, I think it's highly likely we'll be going back next January. Val d'isere town provides everything that we need - plenty of shops, good restaurants/bars, relatively well contained and easy to get around by foot or on free buses. The lift system is really good - hardly any queues. The skiing was superb, lots of variety and very easy links through to Tignes where the skiing was also fantastic. After 6 days skiing, we'd only scratched the surface and would like to go back now for a better explore.

We have Courchevel on our list as well Zermatt/Cervinia and possibly Verbier.

We're also saving up/hoping for a 3 week trip to California, probably easter 2014 before the kids have grown up and left home. I understand skiing is pretty good in the US at that time of the year and we'd also do some non ski sightseeing and a few nights in New York on the way back. Having done the sums, I doubt we'd get any change out £8,000 though
slippy slidey snow......me likey!

Totally disagree about 1650 Ally,
One shortish bubble and two short chairs takes you to the top of saulire for access to anywhere - this is often quicker than up from 1850 due to queues and much quicker than from 1550.

One bubble and one chair to all of 1850 slopes - green and blue runs possible on all routes.
