...and yes, Megeve is dam darn pricey, so unless ur rich, if you go, dont even forget your dental floss !!

I've been there three times now, and will be there again in a weekend or so.
I'm a newbie though, so I can't really compare it to other places except St Foy and La Plagne - and it's nothing like either of those!

I have been around the Alps for serveral years and Megeve can be expensive but is great for a weekend get away and it gives you a real alpine village feel unlike Flaine or La Plagne which I agree are great ski areas but lack a nice village feel.
