Hi Claire
I've no idea how long it would take by road but I did the helicoper trip a few years ago and yes, it is just a matter of minutes, and well worth it.
It was incredibley warm in ADH the year I went and I found I wasn't prepared for how high and cold L2A was. Silly me! A good lesson though ~ always be prepared.
Easy skiing up the top of L2A. I didn't see the town or the lower part of the mountain. The helicopter dropped us half way up if I remember rightly.
Have a great time!

I think that link is actually for transfers to and from resort from the regional airports.
The ADH/L2A flights are conducted by these guys.

I don't think you can book well in advance as it is all weather permitting, Call them when you arrive in resort or just visit them at the altiport.

For the record it takes about an hour by road from L2A to ADH. It's only 15 mins or so down from ADH to the valley floor.

You don't have a web address / company name for the helicopter transfer do you folks ?

There are plans to link the two resorts, I'm not sure if I think that is a good idea or not.
