Where abouts are you staying in Livigno as you may want to ensure that your ski hire shop is near your accommodation

Yeah the whole area is a bit of a joke for the potential it has-Bormio and Santa caterina could be easily linked plus oga would be a big area. If livigno could come over more from motilino that'd be amazing! Would make trepalle more attractive for a place to actually stay.
Mind you the families that run each area will need to sort out their differences too!
I love the area-would happily go back every year! Cheap, high and the banter at carosello is outrageous!

I agree with all that you have said, Livigno needs to incorporate some more difficult skiing but to get the families to agree we might have to wait till the pope turns to Judisim

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the main issue stopping any expansion or changed runs, seems to be the nature protection in place.

From what was being said at the Ski Show, they are very willing to improve things in Livigno. They know they have to do more to attract people as their prices have now risen beyond ridiculously cheap. But, and possibly correctly, they are being stopped as it may impact on the wildlife.

I loved the comment from the lady I was talking to on the stand. "We can hunt the wildlife, we can shoot the wildlife, we can kill and eat the wildlife. But we cannot wake them up with a new piste!"
