that reminds me. I am sure I read on one of the forum messages about bamboo socks. I paid £5 for a pair to try them out as they are supposed to stop your feet sweating and smelling. Well I just thought I would tell you that they may work for some people but they definitly didnt work for my hubby. He didnt notice any difference.
It was worth a try anyway but I thought I would let you know my findings.

I think someone on one of the walking forums said just the same thing as well. I'm not sure I really understood why they were supposed not to smell, the argument seems to be that they're anti-bacterial but that's not the single reason you get smelly feet I thought. OTOH, there's a lot to be said for bamboo socks, pretty sustainable as a product and helping some of the poorer parts of the world at the same time.
Yeh but the problem is, you can never smell your own, its only other people who can
When your husband throws your slippers or trainers out of the window, cos the smell is keeping him awake

Top tip for smelly or excessive sweating feet.
Use a specially prepared solution of Formaldehyde { the liquid used in preserving and pickling body parts, or embalming} It has to be used with care but is a listed british formulary. It works by stunning the sweat glands. Alternatively use Driclor or Anhydrol Forte, normally used for excessive sweaty pits, but can be used on feet and hands. Available on prescription but can be bought without. Works a treat.

How bad do your feet have to be for "essence of embalming fluid" to be an improvement???
I'll take the bamboo socks any day...

Sounds like my dad. Admin is right. That's gotta be some pretty rank ripe stuff to conjure up some embalming fluid. How would you even get that into a conversation? Something on the order of : Hon your feet stink, try Formaldehyde it works for the no longer living.
if it pickles your feet can you salt them, cut them off and put them in a jar?
