I am returning for a forth time Jan 2010, anyone says its cheap, yip correct, food and drink cheap, anyone who says its not lively, well they must have been in there bed early or couldn't be bother to venture out ( os so boring ). We eat out in different restuarants each nite and still havent found a bad one, you are made so welcome. Regarding the skiing, ok maybe limited, but conditions are great. Lets look at it this way, a holiday is what you make of it [removed]...

Glad you have found somewhere you like. However, the price differential in a TO package these days means you can now go to many places in France, Switzerland, Austria or Italy for similar costs, and benefit from being in a quality ski area. Ok, food and drink is cheaper out there, but if you go half board or catered chalet, I dont really see why anyone would take Bulgaria as an option. Just my opinion like and I agree a holiday is what you make of it, but why have to take 2nd best?

:Dhi, i have booked to go to bansko in january with my cousin, he s a former ski instructor and has skied all over europe, although it's not his first choice destination he has been going to bansko for a few years now, yes it is cheap but in this financial climate it good value for money, his opinion is you get what you pay for and you get out what you put in.go for it and have a good holiday and don't be negative about it and it will all be good:-)

Ok. I am paying £520 for a week in Alpe d'Huez, fully catered chalet so breakfast and evening meals in, as well as unlimited wine, flights and transfers, and lift passes are in too at the total cost pp. Can you honestly tell me that you can get something in Bansko for better value than that with better and more varied skiing?

First ever, ever, ever year of skiing was in Bulgaria, if you haven't been skiing very long you will have great fun as long as the snow pulls off, they got a couple of red runs up top and i think 1 or 2 blacks, don't be put off if you haven't been skiing along time.

If you've never been skiing before and go to Bulgaria you will have a fabulous time, you will love it you will become addicted to skiing etc, etc. But then when you go anywhere else you will see that it can be even better and probably won't want to go back.

The cheaper resorts in europe far outclass Bulgaria in everyway.

Bulgaria is not a cheap option anymore...they got greedy!
