Do you mean the "Sache"? I'm up to trying that, but since I do not care too much for moguls, I might bail out of the bottom part ;)

Hi Catp,
Yes - we're talking about the Sache piste. There are several videos of people ski-ing down it. Here is one of a couple going down it very slowly at the beginning of April - and you can see all the rocks, bumps, and how steep it is.

But I suppose it is encouraging that it was still open then, because we should have loads more snow than this in the middle of January :D

Perhaps I will just STAY in the cafe, and wait for you all to come back

Well Ian - I did say they were going very slowly!

I liked the snow-plough at the start. That's what I do when I'm feeling nervous

I think they're going so slowly because they're scared and they're trying to avoid all the rocks. I've looked at several videos of people going down the Sache and the skiers get lost and end up going off-piste or falling over or something! The off-piste up there is supposed to be excellent.

Anyway, here are the same people going down the first section of the Sache, which looks much easier, so they are going a bit faster

This shows the location of the Bonjour-bonjour chalet in the village. I always like to know exactly where my accommodation is before I go on my ski holiday :D

There are 3 Bonjour chalets, coloured in red. Ours is the one farthest to the left. As you can see, it is in the centre of the village, not far from the lifts and the piste. And it's next door to the shop, not far from the bars, and pretty much opposite the ski hire shop, with the restaurants slightly further down the street.

It looks good Ally, there's nothing worse than a long slog in ski boots to get to and from the essentials.
I can see my house from here...
