Thanks very much for the video. Now - that's what I call ski-ing :D
It's a pity it wasn't you, in that slalom stadium, instead of me - you'd have done a really 'tidy' (Pembrokeshire slang) job of those gates :D

I'd like to see one of you ski-ing though. Can't you ask one of your ski companions to video you?
Thanks again for the video,
Ally
You are a very special lady Ally, so I organised this just for you:

Heard of it, of course, but that method is getting a bit dated. )
I once fell into a Trencher hole, where I indignantly responded to his post by listing at least ten different skiing styles, (most of which I use, depending on circumstances) Trencher gently explained smilies to me!
The only pair of carver skis I own are 2m long, with a mighty radius! Not as big a radius as my straights though!
I do take a lot of stick from most of the Niederau instructors. I can still beat most of them to the bottom though ~ maybe they cover too much ground with those big, wide carves!!! :D :D

Don't pay any attention to those jokers. They're just pulling your leg, and having a laugh
I bet everyone here would be delighted to be able to ski as well (and as fast) as you do. I know that I, for one, wouldn't be able to ski with my skis as close together as that for more than about 5 seconds before they crossed each other and I fell over.
I like that classical ski style - it looks something like waltzing on the dance floor - very elegant :D

But I find ski-ing is like dancing, when you get it right, and I mean the old-fashioned sort of dancing - not just bouncing about in a disco. I'd love to be able to waltz, but my husband's not interested in having dance lessons and I wouldn't fancy learning with anyone else.
