The skiing is split into 2 areas, the horn which is small and located a bit further out of town but has a park and bordercross.

The main area (hahnenkamm) is only accessible by 1 lift and when the snow is bad the only way down is by the gondola and can create huge queues. Once up there it feels to me like you are following a road to get somewhere. If you want to go to "A" then you must follow route "B" and there is no other way to get there.

However, Pengelstein is a bit more open and fun and passthurn is great but takes a while to get there.

There are a few good bars, flannigans being my favorite, stay away from the londoner it's a hole in the ground.

Apres ski is not so much "get off the mountain and have a beer" as the last time I was there I think there was only 1 bar at the bottom of the piste. It's more a "go home and get changed into my apres fur boots and pop out for a glass of wine"

Of course this is just my opinion and loads of people flock there year after year thinking it's the best resort in the world. I did 2 seasons there and find the whole place over priced and a bit snobby.
