Amanda, have a look at my blog and my www linky )
Maybe you have a shortsighted employer unable to see the benefit of the saving on the wage bill :?:
Rural ski areas tend to avoid the glitz and glamour associated with the big name resorts :D
Currently Switzerland is reasonable value, (as long as you avoid the obvious tourist hotspots like Verbier), when compared with prices in the Northern French Alps.
The worst abuse of tourists I have read lately, is a Hamburger on sale in Courchevel, costing 38 Euros

Wow, Bandit writing on a Niederau site! Fantastic! Having said that, I have intentions to ski in Grimentz and Zinal. ~ And to thank the incumbents for introducing me to their ski places.
So, re my March trip, Rusty/Dave, I have a good idea where you will be at 4.30pm on Wed 4 March, cos I know where Jan & fam meet up. Only thing is, I cannot be sure to be there on time, but will contact Jan if I miss that time. If we don't meet up on Wed, will meet you at Gondola when Auhofmobile gets to ski slope on Thursday ~ will get the morning together.
Amanda, you may yet be the new scary lady, although I think that the original one will still be there. I would not think too much about off piste. There are a few opportunities. The offpiste issue with Niederau is that once you get off the main runs, the mountain is made up of gorges, waterfalls, steep faces, cliffs, even steeper than cliffs, overhangs. It cetainly opens up opportunities.
I do hope that I am not understating this.
Are you in ski school or free skiing?
I can certainly enlighten you on the 4 months prob. ~ Just do it.
