Thanks Ian :D

That reminds me - if anyone else is thinking about coming on this holiday but is unsure about something to do with the resort or the chalet, would they please post on here and I will try to check it out during my 3 days there.

Have a great time Spring-skiing in Tignes, Ally! Cannot wait to hear about it when you return!!!

And since you'll be spending "a whole three days" there, we might not even need the ski hosts when we go on our group-trip next January: You can be our guide on the Tignes slopes!

Hi Cat,
I think I will need a bit longer than 3 days to find my way around Tignes and Val d'Isere!

Together they have 300 Km of pistes and 90 lifts!

And even now (at the end of April) according to the Tignes website there are still 144 pistes and 79 lifts open

I can see the biggest problem is going to be trying to pick which lifts and pistes to go up, and down, on

And trying not to get lost, of course

As others have said, have a good time & don't forget the report, -) also if its not too much to ask I would be interested reading a report from your husband, just to compare notes as it were.

I'm in Geneva airport now, waiting for the transfer to Tignes, and the prices here are quite incredible - so don't forget anything. A deodorant costs 15 Swiss Francs.

But we have just discovered that there is a cheap supermarket by the station (in the airport), so if anyone is flying into or out of Geneva in January for this holiday, then that's the place to go to buy food and drink. A huge bottle of fizzy water only cost 1 Swiss franc, and we got bread, salad and olives etc. and we're having a cheap picnic in the airport.

Leaving luggage here is pretty expensive as well - 10 Swiss francs per item, but the day travel pass into Geneva city was very cheap.
