Fresh September Snow In The Alps and BC
Login
Fresh snow has been reported on both sides of the Atlantic in the past 24 hours, getting pulses racing ahead of the coming ski season.
In the Alps images of the glacier at Les 2 Alpes, which recently closed after a three month summer ski season, being dumped on last night with fresh snow were posted on social media.
At Kicking Horse in British Columbia, Canada (pictured above, today) the snow has given the mountain top a covering of white stuff, surprising mountain bikers using the gondola to access summer biking runs.
Other high altitude regions in Colorado and Montana have reported snow too recently and up to 30cm/a foot of fresh snow is currently being forecast for Zermatt in Switzerland which is usually open for snowsports year round.
