I've got a thing about Scott's.
Reviews rave about the new range of Head's, the Watea's also get cracking write ups. Last time I skied on Volkl's (rentals) I took them back as they were stiffer than a stiff thing from Stiffville. They even "twanged" when I lifted them up and down.
I also had some Rossi Bandits for a day last season and HATED them. I can't quite tell you why, but they skied like a drunk dog.

Tony,
What about the Scott Neo Skis, these come in at about the price range. Mind you, the Klothoid shape might blow Dave's mind! )

Tony, I tried the Watea 84's at MK last year. I would definitely test before you buy. They felt ok, a little damp in the handling. The pair I tried were too long at 176, so this year I tried the wmns version (Koa) in the correct length. If someone gave me a pair, I'd use them on cruising days, but I won't be buying any.

You are obviously not aware that I already own a pair of Neo's.AlistairS wrote:Tony,

I think the Neo is a more lively ski with better feedback. I found the Watea's squidgy and lifeless. I'd attributed this to the fact I'd skied them too long, but on trying the Koa (the same ski and shorter), was distinctly unmoved )
You may of course utterly love the Watea, but FFS test some 1st :D

Yes, You won't be wanting another pair then  The Volki Unlimited AC20 has been getting some very good reviews although it comes in at £450 with bindings. You may be able to pick up a pair cheaper on the internet. One tester has indicated that the AC20's are "'Fun on soft snow and you can really push it on hard pack. Powerful, effortless turns, good edge hold and it's great at speed.'

Yes, those and the Head Peak's sound interesting, and a little different from what I have got.AlistairS wrote:Tony_H wrote:You are obviously not aware that I already own a pair of Neo's.AlistairS wrote:Tony,
