Ian, would it be fair to sum up your bad experience with RA as a "non-reading of the terms and conditions?" I sympathise with your experience, but could it have been avoided if you had read the Ts&Cs properly?

Sami, if you add in the £100 plus rail cost, not withstanding the day lost in travelling, is it really worth it?

(I didnt read the T&Cs in much detail).

Hope so. Train tickets can be pretty cheap sometimes. The outward journey to london cost me £12 last year, it does add on another day or two of travelling tho.

Thing is, I cant book the full holiday in advance, need to wait till the last min, and as far as Im aware im not likely to find alot of last min deals from scottish airports. Hence the plan to book last min, and when i saw cheap flights I thought - why not? We arrive ar grenoble at midday, and on the way home leave at 10pm, so might squeeze a few extra hours on the slopes...

Dave, who reads the small print in any T&c's, people seem happy to shout about the £10 fares that turn out to be a hundred pounds, it has been well documented about my experiences with that airline
and you make your own mind up .......... as previously stated I will not use them until they return my fifty €uro, televise an apology, and change their name to Wickers airlines

Ian,
To be accurate, it seems the £5 single fare was actually £50 return, and the £10 single fare was actually £70 return.

It is annoying, but perhaps only as annoying as the self-catering accommodation that they advertise as e.g. £250 per head including flights and transfers, and it's not until you've worked your way through several internet pages that you discover that price only applies if there are 5 of you, and that for 2 people it's something like £400 per head.

sami_glasgow, Ryanair are very strict on the small details. I suggest that you take time to read the small print soon, and can meet all of the check-in and baggage criteria on the day. This will ensure that you do not get stung for extra charges at the airport. Ryanair make lots of money from folk who can't be bothered to read the small print ^^ :D

They make no more money out of me, who's loss certainly not mine, who's gain, BA ( who it looks like does need the money ) and do supply a very good service, and Easyjet who I am using in March. 8)
