I said Skidaddle and his OH were fair weather skiers. She'd be the first to admit to that, although he did enjoy a mad powder afternoon with me and the boarders once the OH had bailed.
You stay in the village with your kaffee und kuchen and leave the skiing to the less sensible, like me, who go up the mountain in anything, expect 120kmh winds!
Seriously old chap, safe journey home. You will be glad to be back and see the little lady I am sure.
Dont forget some snaps to post on here next week.
ciao

I have to admit that for me the only thing that keeps me off the slopes is the closure of the lifts. I'll ski in anything, its a little exciting and a bit of a challenge when the weather closes in, and its also great when the pistes are so quiet too. I do appreciate the real dangers of venturing out in bad weather but I dont go on a skiing holiday not to ski. I guess that has to be very much an individual choice though.
I'm just about to download the movie, need to edit and hopefully on public show this weekend

The first three days at Adelboden this year, looks just like this screen (blank and white) and it was hard to see to ski, goggles didn't work, so I ended up with sunglasses and had to ski slowly. Going down Hahnenmoos was like picking your way through a mortuary, there were bodies every where, assorted boarders all flat out and other skiers who had collided with each other (talking of which I saw a tobogganist take out a snowboarder, to much applause!) so it was hard like Wickers says - but the other 3 days of powder and sunshine more than made up for it (as you will see from my Avatar!) When the thick cloud closed in, it was like you were the only person on the slope or the lift. However when the sun did come out, the paramedics seemed to be very busy down at Geils, we saw 6 calls outs in one lunch hour, which was a bit alarming, so people seemed to go mad!
I will go back at some stage, but there is talk of a gang reunion next year somewhere in Austria, so will look forward to that!

Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!

It's all well and good to ski when conditions are a bit iffy (guilty as charged on this one) and deserted pistes are great, but when you can hardly see the piste (let alone anyone in front of you - we had an afternoon like this in Sauze and the last run down was a bit scary!) it's sometimes better to admit defeat and keep your sanity (and limbs!) intact.
Hope you still had a great time though, despite the weather, and look forward to seeing the pics (assuming they aren't all a whiteout!) when you get back. :D

Hello sweethearts yes we are back safe and sound in dull overcast Norwich, flight with BA was really great and on time, just got the washing to do now  a big disappointment for me was the lack of food I used to love those little microwaved meals the airlines used to serve up all we got with BA was a sandwich  Gotta go guys will post some pics tomorrow bye 8) 8)

Yeah, its just trolley dollys even with BA now. But still a lot better in terms of overall service as far as short haul airlines go methinks.
Look forward to some pics and possibly a movie?
