If you want to ski Spain, I think you'd be far better off considering Baqueira - Beret in the Val d'Aran if you're rich and Masella - La Molina (Alp 2500) if you're not because the end of the Pyrénées near the Bay of Biscay can get very windy and I've been on a chair at Formigal when they've had to frequently pause it because it was swinging too much! Damned cold and NOT a pleasant experience no matter how cheap!!
However, even Massella - La Molina is more expensive than any of the Neiges Catalanes resorts just over the border in France and that includes Font Romeu - Pyrénées 2000 and Les Angles.
