I'll vote for Zillertal Pils till my fingers fall off. Oh my guys, those pictures are amazingly.
Beers ran from 2.50 - 4 E.
I miss this place very much. I'm homesick. Happy wishes on your trip

No, not this season )
Hey Jim,
Got back from Grindelwald last night....truely awesome place.
Glad I did my riding on Christmas and Boxing day. I chose to take the morning of the 27th off and go to the Jungfraujoch (which was spectacular) but by the time arrived back at Kleine Scheidegg it was like the Metro Centre a week before Christmas.....I actually felt unsafe on the piste it was that busy
All in all, somewhere everyone should go, even for a few days.
I am jelous you still have it to come.
And the apres ski is not too bad, you just need to know where to look )
What about Bowland beer which is a lovely little Blonde number?
Never heard or it, and can you get it in Norwich !!!

Just got back from Mayrhofen today, fear not the beer prices are moderate both on and off the mountain. E2.20 - E2.60 for a small to E3.60 - 4.00 for a large one. Now baring in mind the really poor exchange rate of the £ it could be worse. Live in London so normal pub prices really!! When I take into account I was paying E5 for a large beer on a camp site bar in France in the summer I dread to think how much it is for beers in the French Alps.
Found spirits/mixes abit exy and the price of food on the mountain was a little more than I have been used to when skiing the last 4 years in Schladming but that being said they were not unreasonable.
Enjoy your trip and I hope your group all have heads for heights in gondallas!!! Streuth!!

Glad you enjoyed it tino. Not long for me. I see the lifts were closed today because of the high winds. What were piste conditions like? We'll be heading over towards Kleine Scheidegg to watch the lauberhorn downhill but will probably ski m the early part of our week on First as we're having some lessons.
Where's your recommends for a little drinky poo?
Jim
