Went into Lidls this afternoon, and they had sold out of ski watches early this morning. Not only that, all the Lidls in the area were sold out.

Did buy a ski bag, only takes skis up to 185, so too small for mine, but good to have as a spare.

Matalan also starting with a small range of ski clothing.

I did buy hubby some socks, they look ok, time will tell. Also bought a couple of base layer fleece, they are the softest fleece I have ever felt. Our Lidls had every-thing, bags, watchs, helmets, goggles. But then again I do not know a single person, apart from my neighbour who ski's.
I'm a laydee

I was out on 165's, 169's and 175's just last week. They were all very new, and also available in 189cm in one of the models. I also rode a drag lift last year with an 18 year old member of the German National Ski Team. I guess you would have called his skis a bit last century as well, since competition mogul skis are narrow and rather long :D Not everyone wants to go out on piste carvers, clearly.

According to the new BASI Equipment update, there are new requirements for ISIA and ISTD technical/Coaching courses.

Skis to have a radius greater than 17m for men, and 15m for women.

I guess I've been ahead of the trend setters all the time.

It could be you are :D

Then again, my Stockli's are only 158cm, but have a turn radius of 17m+

It's all in the angles apparently, me I just go skiing :D

Back on thread, I went into Lidl yesterday. All the fleeces had gone at 10am, and most of the socks too. However, I managed to get a couple of pairs of socks in smaller sizes for Mrs H and my daughter, and the last white remaining neck warmer.
They had tons of ski gloves, but with the greatest respect, they were rubbish.
No ski bags, just boot bags - not something I am ever going to use.
They did however have a couple of watches left, so I bought one with the intention of flogging it to Dave Mac for £100 because I knew he wouldnt be able to get one )

The sunglasses were a great bargain at £2.99, with interchangeable lenses too! They arent bad styling either. I got a couple of pairs as back ups, as I end up breaking a pair every ski trip.

I am told TK Maxx will NOT be getting any ski sunglasses in this season at all. I will however keep looking!
