Personally I dont go in for those type of shows, its a bit like certain professions who think the only reason people break the law is because they didnt go on holiday as children!!!
I know what you mean, slightly different subject but about 10 years ago I had a serious car accident. Drunk driver, stolen car, no tax insurance or licence, hit me at 80MPH, did me a lot of damage. He had been banned six weeks previous for the same sort of thing but the nice judge said he should not have a prison sentence because of his troubled childhood and his drink and drugs problem. He should stay out of prison so he could attend AA and NA. Would have thought he could have done both of those in prison, and not been able to nick another car. He got his prison sentence after that one.
But the poor darling didnt get to go on holiday Rose, thats why!!! (I actually have heard people say that about some youth offenders, I even think there was an initiative to send these 'poor things' on holiday for their crimes!) I'm afraid the arguement doesnt do it for me. We couldnt afford holidays when I was younger but I didnt go steal cars, get drunk and crash them into innocent people so I dont see the logic! [I know Im oversimplifying here but in cases like yours Rose it just makes you mad doesnt it!!!]
