NIIIXSY wrote:Yes fab video I'm sure your angle footage is far better than mine, we had a few problems with chest strap angles and bad visibility on 2 days, but the gopro filming is a first attempt with an old version so its all a learning curve and deciding on upgrade herein, its going to take me a while to edit everything and also haven't got the mac either but using power director which was suggested although its a trial version to start with, I will be trying to edit and get this vid of mine up over Easter !

I've learned from Ellistine, the GoPro master of our ski group.

But that film was my first ever I made all myself - first time using a GoPro camera, uploading, downloading, reloading, editing, cutting, pasting, blah blah blah.
I did mess about with a few different camera angles whilst on the slopes, and probably peed Mrs H off a few times, especially skiing so close behind her!

I dont wear a helmet so couldnt film from a lid. I tried the head strap over a bobble but it wobbled too much and I hit the camera a few times on the lift bar, and it made my head feel quite heavy which was annoying.

Ive found the best shots are defo from pole cam with a handlebar mount for £17 on amazon. You can film holding the pole pointing downhill, over your shoulder downhill, behind you on the pole held in a normal position, or filming yourself and people behind you. I also took a lot of photos on 10 second timer using the pole cam.

Personally, I think the shots and video footage I got for a first time effort were pretty good.

Loved it Tony....makes me want to go back again.....tomorrow. It is so good to be able to recognise the runs and the snow looked awesome. Guess I will make it top of my hit list for 2013/2014 :D

Tip for the pole mount, keep checking those thumb screws as they work loose. I lost one last year and had to sweet talk go pro into sending me some more.
