Yeah global warming is very annoying, and we may already be starting to see the affects of it!! Having said that North America has had a brilliant start to the season, with some resorts having been open for nearly 6 weeks now!!

Ha ha !! Could be sobbing in my porridge next week then if the predicted snow doesn`t come. Note to self, stop waxing skis and practice a suitable crying face!! Blow it ..what will be will be, just about to book obergurgl for Saturday morning......then again, may just open a bottle of wine and wait to see if tomorrows dump actually lands.. what a painful start to the season!! :?:

Hi all,
I am off to ischgl on dec 23rd. Looks like there is reasonable snow coming this weekend and judging by the weather maps there is another front conming over late next week..hopefully this will form a solid base. Does anyone have an (informed??!) opinion on what to expect in austria snow wise late Dec thru to early Jan?? Fingers crossed!!

Does anyone know the weather conditions for Soll at New Year? Not been there before and starting to panic as there is no snow there at the moment. Any good sites out there for up-to-the-minute info??

Is there any snow in Italy yet, more specifically Pragalato? I'm off there on the 15th Dec but i don't know anything about the place apart from what i found on the net - the name mean 'frozen plane' in Italian...that doesn't sound, well ermmmmm, very slope like.
Maybe there is a cable car that goes up to the slopes?
