Apart from that you should have great weather, great memories, and good friends. 10% of ski holiday is snow. Do you remember the snow on powder days or the face plants that come with it? Slushy snow at end of season or the late long lunch that takes you into après ski?

1. I dont think it is as cheap and cheerful these days as much as it used to be in the 80/90
2. TOTALLY AGREE - the best location is where you are for those 6 days - better than working ;)
3. Face plants, powder, lunch, apres ski. Good times

Just one question. If it was so bad, why did you stop for 3 months?
I went about 8 or 9 years ago, and although it is limited skiing, it is a good place to learn.

Tony is taking the post a being serious, Ally & Brooksy dont know and I am more confused now!

Some of his post comes across as it really is pants like the ski eqt, not very welcoming peeps

I need to go and play pool I think

I did initially, you're right. Clearly Brucie enjoyed himself. Mind you, 3 months out in a resort I think I'd manage to enjoy it!!!

Its still not somewhere I'd choose to go to on a ski holiday though.

Ask someone what their favourite ski holiday was, and 99% say the one they just had. Something to do with memories and all that.

10% of ski holidays is snow - I have to disagree. I reckon 90% of it is snow. If you can't ski, its a waste of time. I remember the powder days, for sure. And I dont do long late lunches that run into apres either.

Goes to show how different people approach a ski holiday. I imagine you view skiing quite differently when you're there for a long period, compared to a 1 week blitz like most of us do.

I'm just back from spending 3 months in Soldeu, Andorra. Really glad to be home, like Tony H I cant understand why anyone would ever consider going to Andorra when there are so many other good resorts around..............WHY STAY FOR 3 MONTHS?

The ski-ing was poor, the snow was rubbish and no pisting is ever done, especially on the front runs which I had to ski first thing in the morning most days. The pistes are exceptionally busy, I had to queue once during Spanish Carnaval week..........SNOW WAS OK AND PISTED EVERY NIGHT FOR EACH OF THE PREVIOUS 3 YEARS I WAS THERE. ALSO NEVER QUEUED IN THOSE 3 YEARS.

The restaurants in town are also poor especially the Bruxelles which charges 12 Euros for a 3 course meal including steak........YOU ARE HAVING A LAUGH WITH THIS ONE.

The people in town, locals and instructors are not very welcoming and are never seen in the pubs in the town..........THEY WERE FOR THE PREVIOUS 3 YEARS.

There is never any music on in any of the pubs, particularly The Harp which has no atmosphere whatsoever and is always busy for some reason..........CAN'T COMMENT, WE USED THE VILLAGER.

The pubs also charge ridiculous prices for beer compared to France, and the skiing equipment is also ridiculously priced, should anyone wish to buy skis or boots.........SAME ANYWHERE IN EUROPE.

In short, DONT go to Soldeu, you wont enjoy it.........WE DID.
