This is mid station in Hemsedal.
One of our previous holidays was like this. Made the day's skiing 'challenging' to say the least!

wow, that's serious brass monkeys. Skied in -12* at AdH. Also remember waiting for the coach in Livigno that was taking us 'peasants' to St. Moritz for the day. Clock/thermometer outside the bank opposite was showing -28*. Thought it was broken till we got on the coach and the one above the driver's head was also showing -28*.

To be fair, that WAS in the shade.....
Interesting the wind chill factor added -7 grad to -28 grad. Also interesting, other days with a similar 5kph wind speed has no temperature degradation effect.
I have a frosty memory of walking up to the village at 7.30am, waiting for the workers lift, skin tight single layer uninsulated ski pants, -25grad. At the top, the liftie stopped the lift and lifted me out of the chair. I was frozen solid.

My first ever time skiing , val thorens 2001, it was -25 and I was in ski school so didn't enjoy much of it that week.
But it was sunny all but one day.
Had a -17 day in serre che in march a couple of years back that took us all by surprise.
But the coldest I've experienced yet was st. Moritz jan 2011 when it was -21 in the village, and dropped to -28 at the top of corviglia. No wind fortunately, but you didn't stop for long I can tell you. Deathly silent too.
