We're thinking of trying out the ski club of GB guiding service in Avoriaz while in Chatel next month - but, would it be possible to get to Avoriaz by 9.30am on skis from Chatel?
We will have a car with us, so could drive if not.
Alternatively, would anyone recommend a guiding service based in Chatel?

I haven't been in chatel for about 4years but Im pretty sure you need to get the gondola up to avoriaz do you not? Maybe that's from the Morzine side.

Yes it is. You will need to get on the Pierre Longue lift as soon as it opens. Then off that and straight on to the Rochassons chair. Ski down the Chaux fleurie (red) to Lindaret and then up the Prolays lift. Ski round the corner and you are there!

To get there in 30-35 mins you need to get the ski bus to Pre-le -Jour and as Snowb says pick up the Pierre Longue lift then Rochassons lift and bobs your uncle.. 8)
