Is this month in danger of being ruined by too much snow?

Snapzzz posted Jan-2012

Only a month ago we were all anxious that the season was going to be in danger of being a non starter and now every day there are reports of too much snow.

Avalanches
Delays
Lifts closed

I feel lucky that i managed to bag myself probably the best week away so far but am desperate to book another, i'd just hate it to be a wash out.

For example:

Just over a week ago i was skiing this run

and using this station:

If you take the first picture, how do the pisteurs deal with that and re open the run?
Do they just pack it down? Or shift it else where? Some of those runs have rock cliffs either side and i can imagine it being a stiff task to dig it out.

Can those snow cannons be removed for safety ?
