I would expect you to have at least some good skiing above Val Thorens.
How much of the valley is skiable is just luck this late in the season. It can change so much in a day or two. You could have fresh snow higher up and rain lower down or just day after day of sunshine.
I am sure you will be able to ski all day - if on a reduced number of runs to mid season.
Enjoy !!

Hello Old Andy, Thanxs for the info,

Do you believe that avalanches are a risk at this time of the season, i am not planing to ski off-piste.

Thanks Again

Avalanches !! Absolutely.
An end of season pleasure is sitting in the sunshine, with a beer, in the afternoon, watching the avalanches. South facing slopes in particular regularly slide in the afternoon.
I used to work in Les Arcs and watch the opposite side of the valley and some great avalanches.

Skiing where you are supposed to ski will be absolutely fine.
Avalanche danger is in odd and unusual places - don't forget that those places with a danger of a slide hitting a piste will have been dealt with and the off piste danger is no more or less than any other time, just different, and you said you weren't into off piste anyway.
My stories about avalanches were just about the majesty of a slide not any specific danger.
Sorry if I worried you needlessly.
emjoy !!
