If money was no object and for example - your ship comes in or your numbers come up or you come into a nice lump sum and you could purchase just one pair of new skis.

What pair would you purchase? They maybe a pair of refurbished classics or a brand new contemporary state of art pair. Piste, powder or whatever!

I would have a pair of Kessler Phantoms in 163 - because I'm worth it

What would you have?

A ski is a ski, give me a couple of planks and I'll ski on um :D

Best ski I demoed this year was the Rossi Avenger 82ti. Applying two layers of metal (like a race ski) to an all mountain ski makes these carve like they are on rails. They are also much lighter than similar skis from the other manufacturers. Really a one ski quiver.

But if I could buy a quiver, the Rossi 165 WC sl would also be on the list. I definitely did not want to take them back.

I might also like a couple of pairs of Phantoms too
because I'm so inclined .....

 Ian,
Nice to see someone who is easily pleased. I have some old UPVC facia boards in the garage. Don't leave the waxing iron on them too long. Can you make use of them? There must be one pair your fancy FGS :D

Trencher,
Sorry Mate, that makes four pairs in total however, I'll take it as the Rossi Avenger 82ti. Must have a look at them they sound the business. I thought you may be swayed towards the Palmer PO2 Carbons

Well Alistair for me it is just like the expensive football boots I used to buy they never seemed to make me a better player or the expensive cricket bats I used to buy never seemed to convert to enough hundreds :D

Yes, there is something to be said for that. Both the boys brought Head skis in a package from S&R a few years ago. Nothing to bling but when it comes to skiing they both make their Dad look very average. My excuse being, my poor old back problem

I saw some lovely Vist skis in Mayrhofen, and nearly bought them, they were £450 in the sale.

Sounds like a bargain, were they the Super Mountain or Cross Over model?
